About Battle Ready

Battle Ready is a small fully virtual private practice in rural Nevada. The name came from the idea that I love helping you be ready for whatever battle life brings you. Some people battle with trauma, addiction, or depression. Others battle with striving to maximize their productivity and efficiency.

Battle Ready started out as a very small practice with only a few individual clients and has grown to a large practice. Battle Ready subcontracts with the U.S. Air assessing flyers (e.g. pilots and crew) and providing executive coaching and performance enhancement. Battle Ready also conducts VA Disability evaluations. In addition, Battle Ready subcontracts conducting high quality specialty forensic testing.

Dr. J operates Battle Ready from his home in rural Nevada. Although he has a private office for work, if you listen carefully, you might hear a rooster crowing, a pig snorting, a horse neighing, or a dog barking in the background.

Battle is fully virtual. The good thing about meeting with a psychologist virtually is that you can meet from almost anywhere as long as it's private and you have a good internet connection. Some worry about feeling less connected to a doctor when meeting virtually but research and many years of experience show that virtual meetings are just as if not more effective than face-to-face and are much more convenient (who really likes driving, parking, waiting in a waiting area etc. anyway??)
